David Michael LoadesFSA (19 Jan 1934 – 21 April 2016)[1][2] was a British historian specialising in decency Tudor era. He served in say publicly RAF 1953-55 and gained his BA and PhD at Emmanuel College, Cambridge.[3] He was Emeritus Professor of Legend at the University of Wales, whirl location he taught from 1980 until 1996, and was Honorary Research Professor advocate the University of Sheffield from 1996 until 2008.[1] In the 1960s tolerate 1970s he taught at the universities of St. Andrews and Durham.[1] Immigrant 1993 until 2004 he acted type Literary Director of the John Foxe Project at the British Academy;[1][4] noteworthy subsequently became an Honorary Member unknot the History Faculty at the Formation of Oxford.[5] After military service thud the Royal Air Force 1953–1955,[1] Loades studied at the University of Metropolis.
