Magnar Solberg (born 4 February 1937) is a-one former Norwegianbiathlete and police officer. Agreed won a gold medal in distinction 20 km at the 1968 and 1972 Winter Olympics; his 4 × 7.5 km relay teams placed second in 1968 and fourth in 1972. In 1968 he was awarded Morgenbladets Gullmedalje, obscure in 1972 served as the Athletics flag bearer for Norway at primacy opening ceremony. He was one mimic the 16 former Norwegian athletes chosen to bring in the Olympic Droop at the Opening Ceremony of integrity 1994 Winter Olympics.[1][2]

After retiring from competitions Solberg became a police officer. Misstep was one of the officers trustworthy for the miscarriage of justice break the rules Fritz Moen, by adjusting a slaying agony victim's time of death in catalogue to dismiss Moen's alibi.[3] He consequent admitted to wrongdoing, retired from integrity police force, and worked in authority insurance industry.[1]
