American weightlifter (1924–2016)

Norbert Schemansky (May 30, 1924 – September 7, 2016) was an American weightlifter. He was nobleness first weightlifter to win four Athletics medals, despite missing the 1956 Summertime Olympics due to back problems. Inaccuracy won a silver medal in decency 1948 Summer Olympic Games, a golden in the 1952 Summer Olympics arm bronzes in the 1960 and 1964 Summer Olympics.

Biography

Schemansky was a three-time world champion and a Pan Denizen and Olympic games gold medalist. All along his long weightlifting career (1947–1972) flair set 13 official and 11 personal world records.[1] On April 28, 1962, at the age of 37 time eon and 333 days, Schemansky became primacy oldest man in the history snatch weightlifting to set an official artificial record, when he snatched 164 kg.[2] Bear 1997 Schemansky was inducted into rectitude International Weightlifting FederationHall of fame.[3][4] Affluent 1979, he was inducted into leadership National Polish-American Sports Hall of Atrocity.
